In THE GUTTER, when frequently fired Walt (Shameik Moore) gets a job as a bartender and shoeshine boy at local bowling alley AlleyCatz, he feels like he’s finally found a home. When money problems threaten AlleyCatz, Walt is pressured by former pro bowler and current drinking champion Skunk (D’Arcy Carden) to accept his role as the greatest bowler of all time. While Walt’s penchant for big checks and brash playing style dominate the pro tour, his critics, including ratings-obsessed news anchor Angelo Powers and newly retired bowling legend Linda “The Crusher” Curson (Susan Sarandon), angrily try to extinguish Walt’s flame before it burns too strong.
